Corso Italia by night: a guide to Genoa's nightlife seafront
Updated 8 October 2026
Ask someone from Genoa where to go out at night and the most likely answer is: Corso Italia. The seafront running from Foce towards Boccadasse and on to Lungomare Lombardo is the heart of Genoa’s nightlife. Here’s why, and how to make the most of it.
Why Corso Italia
Simple: the sea. Here the venues look straight out over the water, with terraces and outdoor spaces that become dance floors in summer. And they’re all close together: you arrive, take a walk and choose.
In winter: Mako
At Corso Italia 28r you’ll find Mako, Genoa’s historic club on the sea and the largest venue in the city. From October to May it’s open on Fridays, with the reggaeton night Morosita, and Saturdays, with La Casita, commercial and reggaeton.
In summer: SYS and Goa
When the warm season comes, nightlife stretches towards Lungomare Lombardo:
- SYS, at Lungomare Lombardo 27, from May to September on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays;
- Goa, at Lungomare Lombardo 21, where Sunrise takes place every Saturday in summer.
Tips for your night
- Plan ahead: the area gets very busy at weekends, especially in summer.
- Dress in layers: by the sea at night the air changes. Some ideas in the guide on what to wear clubbing.
- Bring ID: at over-18 nights age is checked.
- Table or guest list? Decide before you go out. If you’re a big group, a table gives you a fixed spot all night.
