Where to go clubbing in Genoa: a guide to nightclubs and nights out

Genoa by night isn’t one single city. It changes with the seasons, with your age and with the music you’re after. If you’re wondering where to go dancing, this is the guide I’d give a friend: no endless lists of venues, just the nights I really know, because I run them.

The heart of Genoa’s nightlife: the sea

Most of the action is on the seafront, between Corso Italia and Lungomare Lombardo. That’s where you’ll find clubs overlooking the sea and terraces packed until late. Everything is close by: if one night doesn’t work for you, the next is a short walk away.

In winter: Mako

From October to May the place to be is Mako, Genoa’s historic club right on the sea on Corso Italia. It’s the largest venue in the city and it’s open on Fridays and Saturdays:

• Friday – Morosita: the reggaeton night.
• Saturday – La Casita: commercial and reggaeton, to sing every hit.

Entry is 18+ and on some nights the minimum age is higher.

In summer: SYS and Sunrise

When summer comes, the night moves outdoors.

SYS is the summer spot in the heart of the seafront: from May to September, on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, with reggaeton and commercial. Entry is 18+, and 20+ on some nights.

Sunrise started in 2024 and quickly became the go-to summer night for the younger crowd: every Saturday at Goa, on Lungomare Lombardo. Reggaeton, commercial and trap, 18+. In winter it comes back with one-off nights around the holidays, like Halloween, Christmas and Easter.

If you only want reggaeton: Que Calor

Que Calor is a travelling party: a different venue every time, always and only reggaeton. 18+. To find out where the next one is, message me or follow me on Instagram.

For the youngest

For under-18s there are two parties made for them, with no alcohol:

• Gold, Genoa’s high-school party since 2012.
• Middle House, parties for middle-school kids.

Guest list or table?

They are two different things. The guest list gets you in. A table gives you your own spot for the whole night. If you’re a big group, it’s a birthday or you just want to be comfortable, a table is the right choice. Everything is explained in how to book a nightclub table in Genoa.
